Anselm Quarles
Partner, Syracuse
Anselm runs the Syracuse office. He handles unpaid wage and overtime claims, often for whole groups of workers at once.
Anselm worked nights in a distribution center to pay for law school, and he still thinks about pay in hours. His cases start with a spreadsheet: every shift, every rate, every week, checked against what was actually paid.
He brings group wage claims for warehouse, restaurant, home care and construction workers across central New York.

Why Anselm likes wage cases
A wage case is the most concrete thing I know. Either the hours were paid or they weren't. My job is to find the records, rebuild the ones that are missing, and put the total in front of the people who owe it.
When ten coworkers bring the same claim, none of them has to carry it alone. That's my favorite kind of case.
