What workers ask before they go ahead
What workers ask us most, before and after they decide to go ahead.
What does a first conversation cost?
Nothing. If we take your case, the fee is explained in writing before you sign, including any costs you might owe whatever the outcome.
How are your fees paid?
Most of our cases are taken for a share of what we recover, so you pay no fee unless there's a recovery. Some work, like reviewing a severance agreement, is billed at an hourly rate we quote in advance. Court costs and expenses are explained in the agreement, and you may owe some of them either way.
Do you ever represent employers?
No. We represent workers only.
What should I have ready when I write?
Whatever you have: pay stubs, schedules, reviews, emails, texts, and your own written account with dates. Don't worry if it's incomplete.
How long does a case take?
A severance negotiation can finish in weeks. A lawsuit can take a year or more. We'll give you a realistic range once we've read your file.
Will I have to go to court?
Most cases settle before trial. If yours doesn't, we'll prepare you for every step.
Can you help if I work remotely for an out-of-state company?
Often, yes. Where you do the work usually matters more than where the company is based. Ask us.
What if I'm undocumented?
Wage and safety laws protect you whatever your status. What you tell us stays with us.
A question we haven't answered?
Ask it in a message. A lawyer reads every one.
